S.Africa's Amplats likely to sell Union mine -CEO

JOHANNESBURG, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) is more likely to sell its Union mine rather that list it separately on the Johannesburg bourse, its chief executive Chris Griffith said on Thursday.

Amplats said it has sold its labour-intensive South African mines to bullion producer Sibanye Gold (Other OTC: SBGLF - news) for 4.5 billion rand ($331 million) to focus on newer, mechanised mines.
