Babcock reshuffles executives board

LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Engineering support services company Babcock International (LSE: BAB.L - news) has announced Kevin Thomas, one of its executive directors, will retire next year. Thomas, who is currently the chief executive of the support services division, will step down on 31 March and will be replaced by John Davies, the current chief executive of the defence and security arm.

Davies will be replaced in his current role by Roger Hardy, the current managing director of Cavendish Nuclear, the civil nuclear business which sits within Support Services.

"I would like to thank Kevin for his contribution to the growth and development of the group over the last 13 years, and to wish John and Roger every success in their new roles," said group chief executive Peter Rogers.

Babcock shares were down 0.80% to 871.00p at 0821 BST on Wednesday.
