BHP cutting 37 percent of Melbourne office staff-media

SYDNEY, July 28 (Reuters) - Global (Shenzhen: 300465.SZ - news) mining giant BHP Billiton (NYSE: BBL - news) is cutting 37 percent of the staff at its Melbourne headquarters, Sky News Australia reported.

BHP has been working to create greater efficiencies, with its latest production report showing double-digit price falls for all of its main commodities.
