BP begins shutting in some U.S. Gulf of Mexico production on storm threat
HOUSTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) - BP has begun shutting in production at its Thunder Horse, Na Kika and Atlantis platforms in the U.S (Other OTC: UBGXF - news) . Gulf of Mexico as a precaution against Tropical Depression Nine, according to a notification on the company's website.
BP says it has evacuated non-essential personnel from its four operated platforms in the Gulf.
Its Mad Dog production platform in the Deepwater Gulf continues to operate, BP said. That facility is located further west. (Reporting by Liz Hampton)
