HOUSTON, March 24 (Reuters) - BP Plc (LSE: BP.L - news) and Husky Energy (Toronto: HSE.TO - news) were shutting units on Monday at their joint-venture, BP-operated refinery in Ohio for a planned six-week overhaul, sources familiar with the refinery's operations said.
The overhaul at the 135,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) refinery involves crude distillation/vacuum, coking and alkylation units.
The company has previously said about 30 percent of the refinery's capacity would be cut during a second-quarter overhaul of production units, according to energy industry intelligence service Genscape Inc. (Reporting By Erwin Seba; writing by Kristen Hays; Editing by David Gregorio)
