BP Whiting, Indiana refinery production remains cut -sources
HOUSTON, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Production at BP Plc's 413,500 barrel per day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery remains cut by about 25 percent due to the slow return of a wastewater treatment plant, sources familiar with plant operations said on Thursday.
A BP spokesman declined on Thursday to discuss operations at the Whiting refinery.
BP is carefully restoring the wastewater treatment plant's production in order to avoid a malfunction like one last week, which led to greater than permitted releases of sediments into Lake Michigan, the sources said. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Sandra Maler)
