BP Whiting refinery reformer production increasing -sources

HOUSTON, Aug 8 (Reuters) - BP Plc was working to return the reformer to full production on Monday at the company's 413,500-barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana refinery, sources familiar with plant operations said.

A BP spokesman declined on Monday to discuss operations at the Whiting refinery.

Gasoline production from the refinery has increased, the sources said, as the reformer's restart continues.

The refinery is also working to resume normal operation at the wastewater plant, which caused higher-than-permitted discharges of sediment into Lake Michigan last week. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama and Jonathan Oatis)
