BP Whiting refinery repairing largest crude unit -sources

HOUSTON, Aug 10 (Reuters) - BP Plc was repairing on Monday the largest crude distillation unit at the company's 413,500 barrel per day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery, said sources familiar with operations at the plant.

The 240,000 bpd CDU known as Pipestill 12 was shut by a malfunction on Saturday, the sources said, confirming a report by energy industry intelligence service Genscape. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Meredith Mazzilli)
