BP Whiting refinery working to complete FCCU restart -sources

(Adds BP no comment, details)

HOUSTON, April 15 (Reuters) - BP Plc's 413,500 barrel per day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery was working to complete the restart of a 65,000 bpd gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit shut since early March on Wednesday, sources familiar with plant operations said.

"It's running, but they're trouble-shooting to make sure there are no problems," said one of the sources.

The FCCU was knocked out of production in early March and was quickly restarted, but problems developed in the unit's operation and it was shut for repairs on March 8.

A BP spokesman declined to discuss operations at the refinery on Wednesday.
