BP's Indiana refinery restarts FCC unit-sources

HOUSTON, Sept 13 (Reuters) - BP Plc (LSE: BP.L - news) has restarted a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCC (Madrid: FCC.MC - news) ) at its 405,000 barrels-per-day refinery at Whiting, Indiana, sources familiar with refinery operations told Reuters on Friday.

The FCC was shut earlier this week because of an operational problem, the sources said. The Whiting refinery is the largest in the U.S. Midwest.

Energy intelligence firm Genscape reported the FCC restart earlier on Friday.
