BP's Whiting refinery restarting gasoline-producing FCCU - sources

(Adds BP no comment)

HOUSTON, April 14 (Reuters) - BP Plc was restarting the 65,000 barrel per day (bpd) fluidic catalytic cracking unit at its 413,500 bpd Whiting, Indiana, refinery on Tuesday, sources familiar with plant operations said.

The gasoline-producing FCCU is the smaller of two at the refinery near Chicago and has been shut for repairs since March 8.

A BP spokesman declined to discuss operations at the refinery on Tuesday. (Reporting by Erwin Seba, editing by G Crosse)
