BUZZ-Aberdeen: slides to year lows as EM malaise continues to bite

** Aberdeen Asset Management (Other OTC: ABDNF - news) slumps 6 pct, its worst one-day loss since last Jan, on worse than expected outflows from funds exposed to EM and Asian equities

** Firm saw net outflows of 9.9 bln pounds ($15.46 bln) during the quarter ending June 30, with half of that from stock funds

** Stock gaps lower and slumps to its lowest in more than a year with the lows of last March now under threat

** Aberdeen easily worst performer on the FTSE 100 with more than a quarter of a full-day's average trading volume changing hands in the first 15 minutes of trade

** Emerging market equities have underperformed developed market peers this year with Asia suffering in particular through June from the swoon in China
