** Oil price stability in $65 range, other end mkts likely bottoming, co's ability to manage cost base in tough end market demand environment & M&A talk all cited as catalysts (JPM sees strategic logic of possible deal)

** Separately Credit Suisse lifts TP for Aveva to 2,200p (vs 1,800p) to reflect share price strength across the sector

** Stock, up 4.8 pct, 2nd-top riser on FTSE 250 ; stock fell Tuesday when posted in-line FY (saw strong M&A-inspired gains Monday)
