** Change in Britons' car-buying habits making used-car dealership BCA Marketplace (LSE: BCA.L - news) a big draw for buyside

** Owner of webuyanycar.com in 1.2 bln pound reverse takeover by Haversham, investment vehicle formed by former Stobart chairwoman Avril Palmer-Baunack earlier this yr (BCA pulled October IPO amid volatile markets)

** David Lis, head of equities at Aviva Investors, & Premier AM's head UK equities Chris White both supported car industry veteran Palmer-Baunack (now exec chair of BCA) by buying into Haversham

** Lis says growth opportunity for BCA centres around fact UK new-car market now dominated by personal contract plans which encourage buyers to trade in cars every 3 yrs

** Lis sees scope for significant change in way co interacts with motor dealerships in that it can enter into deals to pre-commit to bulk purchases of used cars, giving BCA & dealers visibility on future volumes (historic system more piecemeal)
