BUZZ-Bookmakers: market concerns over cutting stakes overdone

** Bookmakers enjoy rally after report on problem gambling (Link: http://bit.ly/1rMAQke)

** Market had feared the report from Responsible Gambling Trust could incite govt to slash max stakes to 2 pounds vs current 100 pounds

** Main cause for relief today is that there will be no immediate policy action & reducing staking levels is not seen as the answer to fixing problem gambling, Barclays (LSE: BARC.L - news) analysts say

** William Hill (Other OTC: WIMHY - news) 3rd-top FTSE 250 riser, up 3.8 pct, with Ladbrokes (LSE: LAD.L - news) ahead 1.6 pct

** Pair under heavy pressure last week, down 6.7 pct & 7.5 pct respectively amid negative press on gambling (RM (LSE: RM.L - news) : tricia.wright1.thomsonreuters.com@reuters.net)
