BUZZ-Cider maker C&C: Bubbles higher to top of the STOXX

** Shares (Berlin: DI6.BE - news) in Irish cider maker C&C Group (Other OTC: CCGGY - news) jump in brisk trade following British pub group Spirit's rejection last week of its takeover approach.

** Stock inches higher through the day to become best performer across the STOXX 600 in trading volume more than thrice its 30-day daily average.

** C&C plunged 8.5 pct last Friday hitting a 2-year low after Spirit rejected the proposal.

** Spirit, which is engaged in takeover talks with brewer & pub owner Greene King (LSE: GNK.L - news) , said C&C had until Nov 20 to announce a firm offer.

** One trader at a UK broker cites talks doing the rounds that all three companies should combine.
