BUZZ-Diageo Plc: Best day in 7 years on bid reports

** Top riser on Stoxx 600, fourth most traded by average 30-day volumes

** However, U.S.-listed shares down 2.5 pct as analysts say deal unlikely

** "Press reports of a potential bid seem likely premature, possibly erroneous," Bernstein analysts write in a note on Monday

** "There are more arguments 'Against' a 3G acquisition of Diageo than arguments 'For'," Exane analysts wrote in a note, adding the report from Brazil's Veja newsweekly seemed a "a bit lightweight"
