BUZZ-European oil, commodity stocks enjoy day out of the spotlight

** With the SNB's shock move sending Swiss shares in a tailspin and hogging the headlines, oil & commodity stocks enjoy a day of outperformance

** Premier Oil (LSE: PMO.L - news) is top of the Stoxx 600, up 6.4 pct.

** Precious metal miners Rangold Resources and the heavily shorted Fresnillo (Other OTC: FNLPF - news) are the top performers on the FTSE 100, up 4.3 pct & 4.2 pct respectively.

** BHP Billiton (NYSE: BBL - news) recovers from Wednesday's dip to trade up 2.4 pct

** Swiss stocks in a sea of red & account for all 40 of the top losers on the STOXX 600

** Julius Baer (Other OTC: JBARF - news) has lost more than a fifth of its value and is the worst performer across Europe.
