** Fresnillo (Other OTC: FNLPF - news) the top gainer on the FTSE 100 & recovers from a 7-month low as UBS (NYSEArca: FBGX - news) calls stock a top pick in the European metals & mining sector.

** Company continues to see 2014 earnings revisions cut projected EPS down 6.1% over past month.

** Prospects for 2015 appear brighter.

** Both EPS and revenue estimates for next year have started to move upward.

** One 5-star broker (BMO Capital) has a 2015 EPS estimate 42.5% above the current mean and the 7 last revisions have been upgrades.

** Earlier this month company said it would buy Newmont Mining Corp's 44 pct stake in Penmont, their Mexican gold mining joint venture for $450 mln in cash.
