BUZZ-De La Rue: The real printing press

** De La Rue (Other OTC: DELRF - news) rises 3.3 pct to a 7-week high after Bank of England names firm as preferred bidder for banknote printing contract.

** Stock under pressure in recent months and hit its lowest since Feb 2011 late last month partly on worries that it would lose the BOE contract.

** Company expected to sign ten-year contract in October and begin printing in April 2015.

** By 11am GMT stock had traded thrice its average daily volume by late morning, and was the most actively traded UK midcap on Monday.
