BUZZ-Lonmin: shares rise despite $326m loss

** Lonmin (LSE: LMI.L - news) rises 3 pct in early trade despite reporting a pre-tax loss of $326m, compared to a profit of $140m a year ago.

** Traders cite co managing to keep net debt under control as main positive - debt of $29m compared to net cash of $201m a year ago.

** Shares (Berlin: DI6.BE - news) rose 7 pct on Friday into results, breaks above 50-day SMA on Monday after prolonged period of weakness.

** Company struggling with lower platinum price, will be forced into capital raise if weakness continues, say Liberum.

** Guided towards 750koz of production for FY2015 that will require approx $250m capex to sustain it.

** Unless platinum price stabilises will require raise in next 18 months, bank says.
