BUZZ-Louisiana Sabine Pass LNG deliveries likely hit record in Feb

March 2 (Reuters) - Cheniere Energy (Frankfurt: 580884 - news) likely delivered a record amount of natural gas from its Sabine Pass export terminal in Louisiana in February, Reuters data showed.

* The 15 tankers taking cargoes in February were capable of carrying 50.4 billion cubic feet of gas worth about $147 million, based on average fuel prices at the Henry Hub benchmark in Louisiana that month

* That topped the 49.7 bcf of capacity of the 15 tankers taking cargoes in January worth about $167 million

* Spot gas prices averaged more in January at $3.26 per million British thermal units than the $2.82 in February (Reporting by Scott DiSavino)
