BUZZ-Ophir Energy: Falls after H1 results misses estimates

** Oil producer Ophir Energy (Other OTC: OPGYF - news) down 6.4 pct at 106.0 pence after H1 pretax loss and rev missed estimates

** Co reported H1 pretax loss of $123.3 mln and rev of $86.5 mln

** Stock biggest loser on FTSE-250 midcap index with 25 pct of daily avg volume traded in first hour

** Stock also biggest drag on the FTSE 350 oil & gas index

** Westhouse analyst Mark Henderson said Ophir's strong balance sheet should help co weather current environment, but that co has "yet to deliver a truly transformational transaction that alters the balance of the portfolio"
