BUZZ-Precious metals miners: losing lustre

** Fresnillo & Randgold Resources biggest casualties on a sharply firmer FTSE 100.

** Gold & silver hit lowest since 2010 as dollar soars on fresh QE by Bank of Japan & robust U.S. data.

** Both stocks down 1.7 pct, putting them about 7 pct & 3 pct respectively from 2014 lows.

** Forecasts for both stocks pressured. For Fresnillo, since mid Oct 9 of 12 analysts have cut EPS estimates by average 6.3 pct; & Randgold seen EPS forecasts cut since early Oct by 7 of 18 analysts by average of 8.3 pct, StarMine shows.

** Two stocks are lowest ranked UK blue chips on StarMine's combined Valuation-Momentum model.

** Analysts recommendations still positively skewed for both cos; of 16 covering Fresnillo (Other OTC: FNLPF - news) , half are "buy"/"strong buy" with 7 at "hold"; & of 20 following Randgold, 11 are "buy"/"strong buy", with none at "sell", StarMine shows.
