BUZZ-Sirius Minerals: Wins nod for mine in British national park, shares surge

** Sirius Minerals Plc (Other OTC: SRUXF - news) shares up 63 pct touching 2-year highs after co wins go-ahead to build a large mine in a scenic national park in Yorkshire

** North York Moors National Park's planning committee members voted 8 to 7 in favour of construction of the York Potash polyhalite mine within the park boundaries near Whitby

** The York Potash mine would be the UK's first new potash mine in 40 years

** York could produce 13 million tonnes annually

** AIM-listed co aims to be the biggest producer of granulated polyhalite, which contains multiple crop nutrients such as potash, sulfur and calcium
