BUZZ-U.S. STOCKS ON THE MOVE-Chubb, Casino stocks, AT&T, Amazon

Dow Jones industrial average e-mini futures were up 0.79 percent at 17,662, S&P 500 futures were up 0.69 percent at 2,068.75 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.79 percent at 4,425.

** CHUBB CORP, Tuesday close $95.14, +34.54 pct premarket

** ACE LTD, Tuesday close $101.68, +7.69 pct premarket

Insurer ACE said it would buy property and casualty insurer Chubb for $28.3 billion in cash and stock.

Based on the closing price of ACE shares on June 30, the deal is valued at about $124.13 per Chubb share, a premium of 30 percent to the stock's Tuesday close.

Casino operators' stocks continued to post gains on Wednesday as the beaten down sector finally saw some encouraging news from Macau. According to Bernstein, Macau is set to relax visa rules for mainland Chinese tourists starting July 1, a year after tighter restrictions were put in place.

** GENERAL ELECTRIC CO, Tuesday close $26.57, +0.83 pct premarket

The head of General Electric's finance unit said Tuesday he expects the pace of GE Capital asset sales will accelerate in the third quarter as the U.S. conglomerate eyes unloading an even bigger chunk of assets.

"We're going to pick up the pace in the third quarter," GE Capital Chief Executive Keith Sherin told Reuters in an interview.

** AT&T INC (Sao Paolo: ATTB34.SA - news) , Tuesday close $35.52, +0.84 pct premarket

** DIRECTV (NasdaqGS: DTV - news) , Tuesday close $92.79

AT&T's proposed $48.5 billion acquisition of DirecTV is expected to get U.S. regulatory approval as soon as next week, according to people familiar with the matter, a decision that will combine the country's No. 2 wireless carrier with the largest satellite-TV provider.

** NIKE INC (Sao Paolo: NIKE34.SA - news) , Tuesday close $108.02

The world's largest sports shoe company said Chairman and co-founder Phil Knight would step down next year.

Knight recommended that Chief Executive Mark Parker succeeds him as chairman. Parker has been CEO since 2006.

** AMAZON.COM INC, Tuesday close $434.09, +0.96 pct premarket

Amazon launched its one-hour delivery service, Prime Now, for select areas of London on Tuesday and said it would expand the program to additional cities in the United Kingdom by the end of the year.

For a fee of 6.99 pounds, Amazon Prime members can have orders worth 20 pounds ($31.43) or more delivered in one hour, the company said on its UK website on Tuesday.

** NOVARTIS AG (Xetra: 904278 - news) , Tuesday close $98.34, -0.75 pct premarket

The United States says Novartis AG should pay as much as $3.35 billion in damages and civil fines because the Swiss drugmaker used kickbacks to boost sales of two drugs covered by Medicare and Medicaid.

** EMERSON ELECTRIC CO (NYSE: EMR - news) , Tuesday close $55.43

The U.S. factory automation equipment maker said it planned to spin off its network power business as part of its efforts to focus on high-growth businesses.

** AMYRIS INC (NasdaqGS: AMRS - news) , Tuesday close $1.95

The renewable chemicals and fuels company said on Tuesday it had reached a deal with Total SA (Paris: FR0000120271 - news) . Total (Swiss: FP.SW - news) will own 75 percent of the JV after the restructuring.

** KANDI TECHNOLOGIES GROUP INC, Tuesday close $9.04

The Chinese electric vehicle maker said its joint venture, Kandi Electric Vehicles Group Co Ltd, received a Chinese government subsidy payment of 271.1 mln yuan ($43.7 mln). Kandi said it received the payment for "pure electric vehicle" sales in the second half of 2014. Kandi Electric Vehicles is a 50-50 joint venture between Kandi and Chinese automaker Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. ($1 = 6.20 yuan)

** AUTODESK INC (NasdaqGS: ADSK - news) , Tuesday close $50.075

Pacific Crest on Monday lowered its fiscal second-quarter estimates for the company following checks with resellers that indicate it is behind targets.

"Weak FQ2 results are unlikely to surprise. We are lowering estimates, but remain long-term buyers," Pacific Crest analyst Brendan Barnicle wrote.

** MARTEN TRANSPORT LTD (NasdaqGS: MRTN - news) , Tuesday close $21.7

The trucking company will replace restaurant chain operator Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc (NasdaqGS: CBRL - news) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after close of trading on July 1. Cracker Barrel will replace Dresser-Rand Group Inc in the S&P MidCap 400 index. Germany's Siemens AG has agreed to buy U.S. oilfield equipment maker Dresser-Rand for $7.6 bln.

** TUESDAY MORNING CORP, Tuesday close $11.265

The company said CFO Jeffrey Boyer would resign, effective July 22.

He will join home decor and furniture importer Pier 1 Imports Inc as the finance chief.

** TETRALOGIC PHARMACEUTICALS CORP, Tuesday close $2.34

The drug developer said patients given its experimental drug birinapant in combination with azacitidine showed complete response to treatment in mid-stage study.

** BANCO SANTANDER SA, Tuesday close $7.01, +1.28 pct premarket
