LONDON (ShareCast) - Spain country's autonomous community Catalonia has requested even more bailout funds from the central government.
The news comes as Spain prepares to report fourth-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) on Wednesday morning
The so-called "Fondo de Liquidez Autonómica" (FLA) is a credit line established in July 2012 in order to provide government financial assistance for the Spanish autonomous regions.
The Catalan regional government requested €9.1bn for 2013, compared with the €5.37bn it asked for last year.
The requested amount equals 40% of the total FLA funds (€23bn) currently assigned for 2013.
