CORRECTED (OFFICIAL)-UPDATE 1-Centrica reports operational trip at gas storage site

(Offical correction by Centrica (LSE: CNA.L - news) to show the impact of the trip was 0.6 mcm/d reduction not 1.3 mcm as originally reported)

May 20 (Reuters) - Britain's biggest gas storage site, Rough, experienced an operational trip on Wednesday which reduced injection capacity by 0.6 million cubic metres per day (mcm/d), site operator Centrica said.

The trip occurred at 1426 GMT but according to an update Centrica said the disruption ended at 1446 GMT.

Centrica previously said the trip had cut injection capacity by 1.3 mcm/d but a spokeswoman for the company said this had been an error. (Reporting by Oleg Vukmanovic in Milan and Susanna Twidale in London; editing by Susan Thomas)
