Conoco announces unplanned outage at UK North Sea gas facility

LONDON, Nov 28 (Reuters) - An unplanned outage occurred on Thursday afternoon on the Caister Murdoch System (CMS) in the North Sea, which collects gas from various fields, operator ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP - news) said.

The company said in a maintenance schedule that the unplanned outage started at 1355 GMT on Thursday and that investigations are ongoing to find the problem.

The CMS acts as a hub to collect gas from the Caister, Murdoch, Boulton, CMS III, Katy, Kelvin and Munro fields. (Reporting by Karolin Schaps; Editing by Anthony Barker)
