Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Cracks gain on Brazil outages

LONDON, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Gasoline refining margins in northwest Europe rose above $8 a barrel on Tuesday, supported by gains in U.S (Other OTC: UBGXF - news) . prices and outages in Brazil.

* Four Houston-area refineries were unable to receive crude oil from tankers on Tuesday after a portion of the Houston Ship Channel was shut due to a fire aboard an empty tanker, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

* Exports to the U.S. East Coast have slowed down significantly in recent days as demand for summer grade gasoline diminished.

* Less than 400,000 tonnes of gasoline loading in September have been booked on the transatlantic route out of Europe, according to Reuters data.

* Several cargoes heading to the New York Harbour and Atlantic Coast have been diverted to Florida in recent days as stocks in the area were high, traders said.

* Outages in Brazil have supported the market in recent days with several cargoes of naphtha, gasoline and gasoil booked out of the Mediterranean and northwest Europe.

* Poland's second largest oil group Grupa Lotos expects refining margins to still be at low levels by the end of this year, its Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mariusz Machajewski said on Tuesday.

* Saudi Aramco and its U.S. refining joint-venture Motiva Enterprises lead the race to buy LyondellBasell Industries LYB.N Houston refinery, according to three sources familiar with the matter.

GASOLINE

* Gunvor sold to Rolympus one barge benchmark Eurobob gasoline during the afternoon trading session at $455 a tonne fob ARA.

* Some 16,000 tonnes traded throughout the day at $455-$459 a tonne fob ARA, compared with $455-$474 a during the previous session.

* Rolympus sold to Total (LSE: 524773.L - news) one barge of premium unleaded gasoline traded at $476 a tonne fob ARA, down from $477 a tonne fob ARA the previous day.

* The September swap stood at around $440 a tonne at the close, unchanged.

* Gasoline barge refining margins rose to $8.2 a barrel from $7.6 a barrel on Monday.

* Brent crude oil futures were down 52 cents at $47.11 a barrel by 1800 GMT.

* U.S. August RBOB gasoline futures were up 0.94 percent at 1.3138 a gallon.

* The U.S. gasoline crack (RB-CL1=R) was trading at $10.59 a barrel, up from $9.92 a barrel.

NAPHTHA (NAF-C-NWE)

* No naphtha cargoes traded.
