Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline cracks steady, overseas demand supports

LONDON, Oct (HKSE: 3366-OL.HK - news) 21 (Reuters) - Gasoline refining margins in northwest Europe ended the week on a steady note at above $9 a barrel, and were supported by firm overseas demand, refinery turnarounds and an inventory drawdown.

* Demand for gasoline from the United States and for reformate from China is giving European margins a floor.

* Reuters shipping data shows around 500,000 tonnes of reformate was booked to load in Europe in October to go the east, but market participants said the actual volumes done may be significantly higher.

* Egypt awarded five November delivery 95-octane gasoline cargoes to Litasco, traders said.

* European refinery crude processing fell by 1.1 percent in September from a month earlier as plants started seasonal maintenance, data from industry monitor Euroilstock showed on Friday.

* Gasoline production slowed by 1.2 percent in Sept compared with August and by 1.9 percent y-o-y to 2.615 million bpd.

* China exported record volumes of diesel and gasoline in September, data showed on Friday, as oil majors in the world's top energy market sell excess product abroad amid slackening local demand and surging output.

* Gasoline shipments rose 37 percent to 840,000.

GASOLINE

* No barge trades of benchmark Eurobob gasoline emerged in the afternoon trading window. A bid surfaced at $495 a tonne fob ARA, up from $489 a tonne fob ARA on Thursday.

* Elsewhere during the day, 12,000 tonnes traded at $502-$507 a tonne fob Amsterdam Rotterdam, compared with $500-$509 a tonne on Thursday. BP, NIC (NasdaqGS: EGOV - news) and Statoil (LSE: 0M2Z.L - news) sold to Total (LSE: 524773.L - news) , Vitol and Finco.

* Gunvor sold to Total a barge of premium unleaded gasoline at $525 a tonne fob ARA, up from $520 a tonne.

* The November swap stood at around $498.50 a tonne at the close, up from $491 a tonne.

* Gasoline barge refining margins stood at $9.35 a barrel, little changed.

* Brent crude oil futures for December delivery were up 14 cents a barrel at $51.52 by 1541 GMT.

* U.S. November RBOB gasoline futures were trading 1.11 percent higher at $1.5102 a gallon.

* The U.S. gasoline crack (RB-CL1=R) traded at $12.22 a barrel, up from $11.63 a barrel on Thursday.

NAPHTHA (NAF-C-NWE)

* Glencore (Frankfurt: 8GC.F - news) sold to BP a cargo at $451 a tonne cif NWE, up from $444 a tonne.
