Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline cracks rise, exports support
LONDON, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Gasoline refining margins in northwest Europe rose to nearly $10 a barrel amid volatile crude oil trading and as exports out of the region supported.
* At least three new gasoline cargoes were booked out of the region to go to South Africa and the U.S. East Coast, shipping data showed.
* Workers at the 404,000 barrels per day oil refinery in the Netherlands took part in a "Plot Clear test" at 0930 GMT, as part of the actions announced by two trade unions last week. "All production processes were able to proceed as planned," a Royal Dutch Shell (LSE: 0LN9.L - news) spokeswoman said.
* Marathon Petroleum Corp. is in the process of restarting all units at its Galveston Bay refinery in Texas by the weekend after they were shut due to a wet gas compressor failure, a source familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
GASOLINE
* There were no trades of benchmark Eurobob gasoline barges in the afternoon window. Bids came in at $465 a tonne fob ARA.
* Earlier in the day, 10,000 tonnes of Eurobob gasoline traded at $467-$472 a tonne fob Amsterdam-Rotterdam, up from $452 a tonne on Monday. Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) and Rolympus sold to Finco, Trafigura, Vitol, BP and Shell.
* Rolympus sold to Total (LSE: 524773.L - news) two barges of premium unleaded at $475 a tonne fob ARA.
* The December swap stood at $466 a tonne at the close, down from $467.50 a tonne on Monday.
* Gasoline barge refining margins rose to $9.8 a barrel from $7.465 a barrel.
* U.S. December RBOB gasoline futures were trading 0.14 percent higher at $1.3979 a gallon at 1645 GMT.
* The U.S. gasoline crack (RBC1-CLC1) traded at $11.14 a barrel, down from $11.32 a barrel on Friday.
NAPHTHA (NAF-C-NWE)
* Glencore (HKSE: 0805.HK - news) sold a cargo to BASF at $430 a tonne cif NWE for Dec. 13-17 delivery, down from Monday's trade at $433 a tonne.
