Data Center & Computing Conference and Expo

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 28, 2015) - Charlie Manese, infrastructure engineer at Facebook, will deliver the keynote presentation at the upcoming Data Center & Computing Conference and Expo taking place at the Marriott Marquis in New York, NY from June 15-16. Manese's presentation is titled, Facebook and Open Compute: Designing for Efficiency and Scale, and he will discuss the project's mission to design the most efficient computing infrastructure. The keynote will take place on June 15 at 12:30 pm at the new Data Center & Computing Conference and Expo, produced by Mission Critical Magazine and The Critical Facilities Roundtable. Charlie joins an exciting list of conference speakers from Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard, and many others to focus on recent advances in data center technologies and high performance cloud computing operations.

"We are thrilled Charlie Manese will offer a rare inside look into Facebook's data center and computing technologies by informing attendees about the Open Compute Project and the infrastructure designs that power the world wide social network," said Peter Moran, publisher, Mission Critical Magazine. "Charlie Manese is offering a great opportunity for attendees to gain insight into the social networking world. This keynote presentation is sure to be a must-attend event kicking off the Data Center & Computing Conference and Expo."

Manese is an infrastructure engineer at Facebook where he is part of the team that delivers data center, server, storage and networking technologies. As part of Facebook, he is engaged with the Open Compute Project whose mission is to design the most efficient computing infrastructure at the lowest possible cost. Prior to Facebook, he was an architect in the Data Center Solutions group for Dell, designing and delivering their hyperscale compute products. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley.

The Data Center & Computing Conference and Expo will also offer informative technical education workshops, networking events and interactive exhibits focusing on the successful convergence of IT and facilities systems in the compute environment. Other topics will include new energy utilization and efficiencies; rack-level communications and resource management; the effective integration of data, network, power and cool technologies; new and more comprehensive Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems; etc. To learn more and to register, visit www.mcdatacenterconf.com.
