IIX Joins the Linux Foundation

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - January 06, 2015) - IIX Inc., the global software-defined interconnection company, today announced that it has joined the Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of Linux and collaborative development.

IIX is developing the software-driven, next-generation direct interconnection platform that enables simple, secure and scalable direct network connections across the globe between content providers, cloud application providers and other enterprises. IIX's Linux Foundation membership demonstrates the company's commitment to the collaborative development of open source technologies. Earlier, in December 2014, IIX appointed former Red Hat Vice President Paul Gampe as the company's Chief Technology Officer.

"As strong supporters of innovation driven by an open ecosystem, being a part of the Linux Foundation is a natural fit for IIX," said Gampe. "Our Linux Foundation membership is the perfect opportunity for us to engage and give back to the broader development community."
