Appointment of Gerard Murray as Finance Director

Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings plc (AIM: IDH), a leading producer of specialist diagnostic testing kits for the clinical and research markets, announces the appointment of Mr Gerard Thomas Murray as Finance Director, with effect from the start of the Company's next financial year (1 April, 2012). As announced at the preliminary results Paul Hailes will stand down as Finance Director on 31 March, 2012, but will remain with Immunodiagnostic Systems in its North American operations.

Gerard Murray, aged 48, will join IDS from The Vardy Group of Companies, where he is Group Finance Director. Gerard has 19 years of public company experience, having held the position of Group Finance Director at both Reg Vardy plc and Northgate (Other OTC: NGTEF.PK - news) plc. During that time he has worked on a wide variety of public company transactions and has actively taken on responsibility for investor communications.

Gerard has a BSc in Economics from the University of Leicester, and began his career with Arthur Andersen, where he undertook his accountancy qualifications. In 1991 he was appointed Group Finance Director of Reg Vardy plc, one of the UK's leading quoted motor vehicle retailers, and became Chief Executive in May 2001. In early 2003, Gerard joined Northgate plc, the UK's and Spain's leading provider of commercial vehicle rental solutions, as Group Finance Director. Since 2008 Gerard has held the role of Group Finance Director of the Vardy Group of Companies, established to pursue a mixture of corporate and charitable purposes.

Gerard Thomas Murray, aged 48, currently has no shares in the Company and other than as set out below there is no further information to be disclosed under schedule 2(g) and Rule 17 of the AIM Rules in respect of Mr Murray's appointment as a Director of the Company.
