ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 508,585 new Ordinary shares for cash at 114.00 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility.

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 166,744,438 Ordinary shares.
