MEDIA-Ryanair to complain to EU over Lufthansa-Air Berlin -WiWo

Irish budget airline Ryanair is planning to raise objections to a deal by Lufthansa (Xetra: LHAB.DE - news) to lease 38 crewed planes from rival Air Berlin (LSE: 0GPE.L - news) , its CEO tells German magazine WirtschaftsWoche.

* "We will lodge a complaint with the EU and the German competition authority," Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary is quoted as saying

* He has previously raised objections over the deal, saying it was a "fig leaf" to mask the acquisition of Air Berlin by Lufthansa.

* "The German authorities are doing nothing," he was further quoted as saying by weekly business magazine WirtschaftsWoche.
