Motiva's Port Arthur work to end mid-Feb, early March - sources

HOUSTON, Jan 29 (Reuters) - A planned multi-unit overhaul at Motiva Enterprises 603,000 barrel per day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery that includes the second-largest crude unit, is continuing as planned with work scheduled to finish between mid-February and early March, sources familiar with plant operations said on Friday.

The units, including the 195,000 bpd crude distillation unit VPS-4, were shut in the last week of December to begin the overhaul, which had been postponed four times after being originally scheduled for February 2014.

Work will finish on individual units in a staggered fashion between mid-February and early March, the sources said. Restarts will begin as work on each unit is finished. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Bernard Orr)
