Namibia Q2 GDP at 3 percent year-on-year , 2013 growth at 5.1 percent

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Namibia's second-quarter economic growth slowed to 3.0 percent year-on-year, from a revised 4.4 percent in the first three months of the year, the statistics office said on Thursday. The Namibia Statistics Agency said the economy grew at an estimated 5.1 percent in 2013, mainly due to a booming construction sector and strong growth in the wholesale, motor and retail industries.
