North Sea Crude-Arbitrage talk boosts early April cargoes
LONDON, March 23 (Reuters) - North Sea Forties crude differentials rose again on Thursday, supported by higher demand for cargoes loading in early April amid expectations of crude heading to Asia.
There was also talk in the market that April-loading Ekofisk could be heading out of the region, in addition to Forties.
VLCC MOVEMENTS
* There is ample crude in floating storage. Three VLCCs carrying Forties -- Trikwong Venture, Desimi and Baltic Glory -- are still offshore the UK.
WINDOW SUMMARY
* Ekofisk: Glencore (Frankfurt: 8GC.F - news) bought from Vitol an April 6-8 cargo at dated Brent plus 5 cents, up 15 cents from a trade on Wednesday.
* Forties: Unipec bid for an April 9-12 cargo at dated Brent parity, up 5 cents from a similar bid on Wednesday.
* Brent: Glencore bid for an April 10-12 cargo at dated minus 15 cents, in line with a bid on Wednesday. (Reporting by Alex Lawler; editing by Elaine Hardcastle)
