North Sea Crude-Diffs drop as Vitol offers down

LONDON, Sept 12 (Reuters) - * North Sea crude differentials slipped on Monday, following three straight days of increases, after a flurry of sales in the daily trading window and a series of lower offers by Vitol.

* The market could get a boost from a pickup in flows of North Sea crude across the Atlantic.

* Reuters shipping data showed Irving has chartered two suezmaxes, the Ottoman Nobility and the Ottoman Tenacity, to load crude bound for the U.S (Other OTC: UBGXF - news) . east coast and Canada.

* A third suezmax, the Pegasus, has been booked by U.S. refiner PES to load at Mongstad and travel to the company's refinery in Philadelphia.

* The VLCC Baltic Sunrise, which is controlled by Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) , is currently anchored off Hound Point. Shipping sources said the vessel has been booked to load crude at Rotterdam, but fixtures are often subject to change and do not always result in the voyage for which they originally were set up.

WINDOW SUMMARY

EKOFISK

* Vitol sold Shell a cargo of Ekofisk for loading Sept. 25-27 at a premium of 40 cents to dated Brent.

* Vitol sold Glencore (Frankfurt: 8GC.F - news) a cargo of Ekofisk for loading Oct (HKSE: 3366-OL.HK - news) . 1-3 (narrowed from Sept. 29-Oct. 3) via STS at Scapa Flow from the Thornbury at a premium of 40 cents to the dated price.

* Glencore bid for a cargo of Ekofisk for loading Oct. 5-9 at a premium of 45 cents to dated Brent.

* The quality premium for September-loading cargoes of Ekofisk is 35 cents a barrel, while that for October is 32 cents a barrel. With (Other OTC: WWTH - news) the average premium factored in, Ekofisk becomes the lowest-priced crude and therefore sets dated Brent.

FORTIES/BRENT

* Vitol sold Petroineos a cargo of Brent for loading Oct. 1-3 (narrowed from Sept. 29-Oct. 3) via STS at Scapa Flow from the Stena Arctica at a premium of 25 cents to the dated price.

* Petroineos bid for a cargo of Forties for loading Oct. 1-8 at a premium of 25 cents to dated Brent.

* Vitol withdrew an offer for Forties for loading Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at a premium of 30 cents to the dated price.

* Vitol withdrew an offer for Forties for loading Oct. 1-5 via STS at Scapa Flow from the VLCC Marbat at 15 cents above the dated price.

* Vitol withdrew a third offer for a cargo of Forties for loading Oct. 8-10 at 40 cents above the dated price. (Reporting by Amanda Cooper; Editing by Susan Thomas)
