North Sea Crude-Forties, Brent diffs firm as more crude heads east

LONDON, Jan 18 (Reuters) -

* Differentials for Forties and Brent firmed on Wednesday as more cargoes of North Sea crude were booked for Asia.

* Asian demand, particularly Chinese, spiked at the end of last year on fears of the impact of the production cut deal agreed by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and some other major producers.

* A third VLCC in January, the Gener8 Neptune, is due to take Forties to Asia following the New Triumph and Maran Capricorn sailing to Singapore and South Korea respectively. The tanker is currently loading at Hound Point for BP, Reuters ship-tracking data shows.
