NORWAY GAS-Exports rise to Germany, steady to Britain
* Total Norwegian exports at 197 mcm/day
* Flows to Britain broadly steady at 57 mcm/day
OSLO, April 14 (Reuters) - Natural gas exports from Western
Europe's top gas supplier, Norway, rose on Tuesday morning from
the previous day on higher deliveries to Germany.
Total (Swiss: FP.SW - news) pipeline flows were running at 197 million cubic
metres (mcm) per day by 0645 GMT, up 8 mcm from Monday, data
from gas system operator Gassco showed.
Flows to Germany firmed after an outage reducing production
from the Aasgard field ended on Tuesday morning.
Norway's total gas production capacity has been cut by more
than 140 mcm/day from more than 350 mcm/day since last Friday
because of planned maintenance at the Troll and Kvitebjoern
fields. The Kollsnes gas plant, which process gas from the
fields, has also been shut.
The following table shows Norwegian gas pipeline flows
measured in mcm/day and compared with the previous session's
delivered volumes:
Destination Real time Pvs business Change
day (mcm)
Britain 57 59 -2
Germany & Netherlands 91 85 6
France 27 26 1
Belgium 22 19 3
Total 197 189 8
NOTE (Stockholm: NOTE.ST - news) : Real-time gas export figures are based on gas fed into the
system at a certain time and calculated as a daily average.
Levels can vary throughout the day as producers adjust the
amount of gas they export, according to changing nominations, or
orders, from customers.
Volumes for the previous business day show delivered gas.
