NORWAY GAS-Flows to Europe steady
* Norway's pipeline gas exports total 321 mcm/day
* Langeled flows to Britain steady at 58 mcm/day
OSLO, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Norwegian natural gas flows to Europe were steady
on Wednesday morning as a small decline in deliveries to Britain was offset by
higher supplies to France, data from gas system operator Gassco showed.
Supplies through the Langeled pipeline, Britain's main subsea gas import
route, were broadly steady at around 58 million cubic metres (mcm) by 0800 GMT.
Analysts at Thomson Reuters Point Carbon said they expected the Langeled
flows to pick up after Oct. 26, when an ongoing gas field maintenance is to end.
The maintenance, which started on Wednesday morning, was expected to cut
production capacity by 24 mcm/day, Gassco said.
The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows, measured in mcm per
day, compared with the previous session's average:
Destination Real time Pvs session Change
average (mc)
Britain 82 85 -3
Germany & Netherlands 148 144 4
France 50 49 1
Belgium 41 43 -2
Total 321 321 5
NOTE: Pipeline gas export figures are based on gas fed into the system at a
certain time and calculated as a daily average. Levels can vary throughout the
day as producers adjust the amount of gas they export, according to changing
nominations, or orders, from customers.
