S&P delays Nigerian credit-rating decision, pending an appeal by Nigeria

LONDON (Reuters) - Standard & Poor's said on Friday it was postponing publishing a review of Nigeria's credit rating, pending the outcome of an appeal requested by Nigerian authorities. S&P said that in the meantime it was putting Nigeria on CreditWatch with negative implications. Standard & Poor's said it was in discussions with Nigerian authorities but did not give further details. It currently has a BB- rating on Nigeria with a stable outlook.
