Rochester Wellness acquired by Al Noor Hospitals

LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - All Noor Hospitals has acquired Rochester Wellness for an undisclosed sum. The FTSE 250-lised Abu Dhabi private healthcare provider said in an announcement on Monday that it will expand the group's continuum of care by adding long term care services in Dubai and Oman.

Rochester Wellness, which is a leading provider of long-term physical, speech and occupational rehabilitation therapy caring for patients in their homes, operates 51 beds and generated $5.6m of revenue in the nine months to December 2014.

Al Noor chief executive Ronald Lavater said the acquisition demonstrates the group's commitment to expanding services across the entire continuum of care.

"In addition to adding a new service in the key markets of Dubai and Muscat, we will bring the Rochester Wellness experience to our home market of Abu Dhabi.

"There is a large gap between supply and demand in the long term care and home care sectors and Rochester Wellness has the capacity to serve a significant number of our patients within these therapeutic areas." Rochester Wellness managing director Karim Jamal is confident that All Noor is the right partner to continue to provide the highest level of care for patients as well as drive business development.

"As the largest private healthcare service provider in Abu Dhabi, Al Noor has the reputation and resources to help us grow into new areas of treatment and expand our geographic footprint."
