HOUSTON, June 21 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc (Xetra: A0ET6Q - news) shut the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit at the 316,600 barrel per day (bpd) joint-venture Deer Park, Texas refinery on Tuesday for unplanned repairs, said sources familiar with plant operations.

The 70,000 bpd FCCU is expected to return to production by early next week after a leak in pipeline on the unit is repaired, the sources said.

The Deer Park refinery is 50-50 joint venture between Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) and Pemex, Mexico's national oil company. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
