Smiths Group completes €600m bond offering

LONDON (ShareCast) - Technology group Smiths Group (Other OTC: SMGKF - news) has closed the €600m (£428.4m) bond offering, which was launched on 23 April. The FTSE 100 group said it will use the proceeds from the offering for general corporate funding purposes and to repay existing debt.

On Friday, group finance director Peter Turner described the bond issue as "a successful refinancing exercise for the group." Read more : Smiths Group issues €600m bond Smiths Group shares were up 0.86% to 1,167.00p at 08:13 on Wednesday.
