Soccer-Ibrahimovic says he is joining Manchester United

LONDON, June 30 (Reuters) - Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is joining Premier League club Manchester United (NYSE: MANU - news) , he said on Twitter (Xetra: A1W6XZ - news) on Thursday.

"Time (Xetra: 17T.DE - news) to let the world know my next destination is @Manutd," the 34-year-old said.

Ibrahimovic had been widely expected to make the move to England after announcing he was leaving French side Paris St Germain.

United will be the eighth club in a career which began at Malmo in 1999 and has included spells at Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus (Milan: JUVE.MI - news) , Inter Milan, Barcelona and AC Milan.

At Old Trafford he will play under new United manager Jose Mourinho.
