Spouse cashes in CSR chips

LONDON (ShareCast) - CSR (LSE: CSR.L - news) chief technology officer James Collier's wife has sold 377,750 shares in the bluetooth and Global Position System chips maker at prices between 422.5p and 439.4p a share. That cuts Collier's stake to 1.02m shares, or 0.56%.

On 2 March 2009, Collier exercised an option over 382,002 shares at 5.37p a share. That cost £20,514.

Third quarter revenues were higher than expected and the underlying operating profit was $22.2m. CSR said it expects to post fourth quarter revenue of between $180m and $200m. A new order for an integrated Bluetooth/WiFi product should begin shipping before the end of the year.

Chief executive Joep van Beurden says that CSR is seeing the benefits of the merger with SiRF.
